US BORDER CONTROL
We propose a comprehensive reform of the asylum and refugee process to ensure fair treatment for those seeking refuge, while streamlining the review process to prioritize American public safety and national security. This reform also seeks to facilitate increased legal immigration for individuals who demonstrate alignment with the core values, social norms, and founding principles of the United States.
Recognizing that not all asylum seekers may share American values due to cultural, historical, or religious differences, our proposal offers a compassionate solution: the opportunity for these individuals to seek refuge or immigrate to countries whose values and cultural frameworks are better aligned with their preferences. By supporting this alternative pathway, we aim to improve outcomes for asylum seekers while ensuring a smoother social integration process for those who choose the U.S. as their new home.
Ultimately, successful social integration benefits not only refugees and immigrants but also the host country, fostering stronger communities built on shared values and mutual understanding.
BORDER CONTROL
The primary duty of any government is to protect the safety and well-being of its citizens. Protecting our borders is the government's highest priority in the United States. To ensure national security, every available tool must be employed to maintain effective control over borders and crossings. This includes preventing human trafficking, the flow of contraband, and safeguarding against terrorist threats.
Global factors such as population growth, poverty, extreme weather, and military conflicts have significantly increased migration. This global migration crisis first became apparent in 2015 in the European Union, where integration efforts faltered, leading to the establishment of parallel societies by masses of immigrants.
The United States does not have unlimited resources to accommodate the growing demand on its immigration system and refugee protections. While empathy for global suffering is important, it must be balanced with pragmatic, sustainable solutions grounded in common sense.
In the face of continued global instability, the U.S. must reform its current policies and develop decisive new frameworks on asylum, immigration, and integration. These reforms are essential to ensure that the country can meet both its humanitarian responsibilities and its duty to protect its citizens.
INTEGRATION
Integration vs. Assimilation:
The concept of integration is often mistaken for assimilation. True integration involves a mutual willingness to adapt—both by the immigrants and by the host society. A one-sided approach to integration, where only one group is expected to change, often leads to cultural, social, and religious conflict. While it is important to accept differences, it must be made clear that the establishment of parallel societies that operate outside of U.S. legal and social norms is unacceptable. Religious and cultural diversity must be achieved through integration that respects and upholds our national heritage, cultural traditions, and American patriotism.
Segmentation vs. Segregation:
Immigrants and refugees naturally gravitate toward forming communities based on shared language, culture, and religion. To prevent these communities from becoming isolated or disengaged, integration strategies should focus on segmentation—where diverse groups interact and contribute to society—rather than segregation, which fosters division and social fragmentation.
Social and Cultural Respect:
Successful integration begins with mutual respect and a willingness to adapt. Disrespect toward individuals or social, religious, or cultural groups undermines integration efforts and fosters division. Both immigrants and the host society must embrace a foundation of respect to ensure a harmonious and unified community.
Shared Values and Social Norms:
Social unity is built on shared values, principles, and common goals. Groups or individuals who cannot identify with or accept these basic principles pose a threat to social cohesion, leading to polarization and conflict. The integration process must emphasize these shared values to promote unity within society.
Law & Order:
The laws of the host country and the social norms that underpin them must be respected and obeyed. Any attempts to exclude individuals or groups from these laws or seek special treatment undermine the integration process and create division. Upholding the rule of law is essential to fostering a successful, cohesive, and inclusive society.
