In 2016 the public Foundation for Modern Youth & Civic Participation (FMYCP) created the National Safety and Prevention Award (NSPA). The annual award recognises and honours those who have demonstrated an exemplary resolve towards the betterment of society. NSPA partners with its European counterpart ESPRA to arrange international recognition of deserving recipients.
The recognition is given to individuals or organisations which – through their active participation – exhibited an unparalleled determination to improve public safety by preventing crime, and went above and beyond the call of civic duty to form a safe and promising future.
The honorees have demonstrated a progressive and dynamic teamwork, professional behaviour, the necessary foresight and a pragmatic approach towards solving problems. They have built productive partnerships, pioneered safety and prevention programs and projects with clearly defined goals and objectives, all while yielding visible and measurable results.
The Award may include monetary recognition conditioned upon the annual FMYCP budget.
