ABOUT
THE CONFERENCE
NCRDC is the first annual conference on Responsible Digital Citizenship organized jointly by The Foundation for Modern Youth and Civic Participation and the Council on Responsible Digital Citizenship.
This event takes digital citizenship beyond its current limited scope in the field of education and expands it to all citizens who use digital solutions in all areas of life. The conference features speakers who are experts in their field, including but not limited to education, social media, news agencies, internet providers, legislation, judiciary, psychology, sociology, early youth and parental counseling, law enforcement, leisure, travel, tourism, CSR and commerce.
GOALS
OF THE CONFERENCE
The speakers are tasked with delivering key takeaways on topics related to responsible digital citizenship in their respective industries. Panels, which are made up of industry leaders and subject matter experts, are tasked with deriving a path to develop professional consensus on responsible digital behaviour by youth and adults alike, as well as by social media, news, private and not for profit corporations. Work groups are creating proposals prior to the conference on guidelines on coordinated professional consultative oversight, which are to be discussed and qualified at the conference. The event’s goal is to develop a wide range of tools to facilitate education, training and solutions advocating and supporting the development of responsible digital citizenship. In turn, NCRDC will serve as the initial change management tool in adapting a new, widened-scope, pragmatic and a results oriented approach to responsible digital citizenship.
