The foundation is looking to grow and expand its training & civic engagement activities.  

 

In 2017 the foundation is seeking publicly owned unused or abandoned sites in need of renovation, maintenance or repurposing in DuPage, Cook, Kane, Lake and Kendall counties, to serve as its main locations for training youth and local residents and serve as the civic engagement and prevention headquarters for the host county.

 

BENEFITS TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY

The foundation is committed to renovate, maintain and upkeep the site to preserve its original architecture and cultural fit in the community. 

 

The foundation offers free training to the residents of the community on the below topics . 

 

Adult training on: Safe Internet, Online best practices, Cyber Crime Prevention, developing social capital and volunteering.

 

Youth training on:  Safe Internet, Responsible Digital Citizenship, Critical thinking, Civic Participation, anti-bullying and cyber bullying, intelligent communication, effective conflict resolution and change management. and social capital.

 

The foundation works together with the local police to develop and engage in crime prevention and neighborhood safety programs as well as to better relations between the police and the community.
